Many companies are aware of their general fire safety obligations but few employees and representatives / third party consultants that work in fire safety are as familiar with their own fire safety duties and the way in which the potential changes to UK fire safety legislation and the observations from the Grenfell enquiry might impact them. Those that design, manufacture, import or supply materials or equipment for use at work also have their own safety obligations that are not often discussed within the industry. During this session, Kizzy will highlight the key fire safety risks for individuals (as well as the overarching duties for companies) that work in the fire safety industry – including contractors, surveyors, suppliers, designers, manufacturers and installers – and how to limit liability and exposure to the risk of prosecution.

It's not auditing, it's identification of risk then offering suitable and sufficient strategies to control that risk. Grenfell has worried built environment operators, they are more focused on compliance, with suitability being the poor cousin. This leads to a Service Delivery Gap and a financial viability trap for all parties.
