When does FIREX International take place and where?

Opening Times:

  • Tuesday 18 May: 10:00am–5:00–pm
  • Wednesday 19 May: 10:00am–5:00pm
  • Thursday 20 May: 10:00am–4:00pm

Is it safe to attend?

Yes. We place your safety at the heart of our events. Find out how we do this here.


Will I receive my FIREX visitor badge by post?

You will receive a digital version of your badge, rather than a physical badge in the post. Simply print this off and bring it with you on the day; if you don't have access to a printer, we have printers at the entrance when you arrive.


What if I’ve lost or forgotten my badge when I arrive?

It’s not a problem! Simply go to the sign-posted registration area and the registration staff will assist you with printing your badge.


Can I register when I arrive?

Yes, although we would recommend you do this in advance. If you’re not on our systems and don’t have a badge or e-invite, you may have to queue and your entry to the show will be delayed.


What should I do if the details on my badge are incorrect?

Drop an email to [email protected], and one of our customer service team will be able to help you.


Can I attend FIREX International as a student?

Students are permitted entry to FIREX International by prior arrangement only. Please contact us for further information and guidelines.


How can I register my colleagues for FIREX International?

Click here to send an invite to a colleague. They then just need to fill out a few short questions to register to ensure we can send them relevant information in the run-up to the show.


Can I bring children to FIREX International?

FIREX International is a trade event, and the nature of the exhibits and our attendees reflect this. As such attendance by anyone under the age of 16 is strictly prohibited at all times, including during build up, the open days and breakdown of the exhibition. No alternative facilities will be provided.


As a visitor to FIREX International, do I have access to the other co-located shows?

Yes! Your badge gives you free access into eight other co-located shows including IFSEC International, Counter Terror Expo, Facilities Show, Intelligent Building Europe and more. Pick and choose seminar sessions across any show, connect with leading suppliers across counter terrorism, fire safety, smart building technology and more.


Is there free WiFi at FIREX International?

There are two WiFi options within the venue: ExCeL FREE or ExCeL Free fast. You can log in using your social media accounts or by directly by filling in your details.


Where can I eat at FIREX International?

Cafes serving light snacks and refreshments can be found within the show. There will be bars, restaurants and seating outside each hall for more substantial meals.


Is there a cash point at the venue?

Full banking facilities are available at ExCeL London.


Is there a cloakroom?

Cloakrooms are situated adjacent to the show entrances and are open daily until 20 minutes after the close of the show. You will be subject to a charge of £1 per item.


Where can I park my car?

Yes, there is parking underneath the ExCeL. It is £20 a day. You can pre-book your parking here.


Is there a map of the car park?


Are there disabled parking bays?

There are a number of disabled parking bays that are spread across the car park, that you can see in the car park map.


Are there any facilities for disabled people?

All levels of ExCeL London are accessible to wheelchair users, via ramps or lifts.


Are there any cycle racks?

There are some by the west entrance taxi rank and by the Aloft Hotel at the east of the venue underneath the stairway connecting Level 0 to Level 1. There are 60 cycle racks in total. There is no charge to use the cycle racks.

What sponsorship opportunities are available at the event?

There are plenty of sponsorship opportunities available. As well as being highly visible at the show itself, your brand will feature in all relevant marketing materials and you will receive the data of those who engage with your feature area. Who do I contact about building my stand for FIREX International?

Where can I apply for a visa?

To apply for your visa invitation letter you need to first be registered as an Exhibitor. If you are already registered, please submit the form via the following link: https://registration.n200.com/survey/176zroaa50qcz. If you have any follow up questions, please email [email protected]. Please allow 5 working days for processing.


When will I receive my exhibitor badges?

Exhibitor badges can be collected from the registration points at FIREX International. They'll be available for collection on the Saturday before FIREX International opens.


When will I receive my contractor badges?

Contractor Badges should be ordered prior to going on-site and can be ordered via the link in the technical manual. You will receive an e-badge which you are required to bring with you for your first day on-site.

I would like some help with PR and marketing in the run up to the show. What can I do?

How do I access the exhibitor technical manual?

The exhibitor technical manual is accessed through the exhibitor zone: you will be notified when this is available and supplied with your password.


Can I submit press releases to appear on the FIREX International website?

Yes, you can upload your press releases via the Exhibitor Zone.


Can I nominate my important clients for VIP status?

Yes, you can nominate up to 20 of your most important clients to receive a VIP upgrade which includes the use of the VIP facilities at the show. Please refer to the PR & marketing guide, accessed through the Exhibitor Zone, for further details.


Are there any products that are restricted by UK customs?

British law has always been very strict about who can own or move firearms, ammunition and explosives but the rules are now even more stringent in light of the heightened risk of terrorism. All firearms and explosives must be licensed and there is a total ban on offensive weapons such as knuckle-dusters and flick knives.

It is also against the law to import:

  • High voltage electric ‘stun guns’.
  • Pepper sprays, CS gas canisters and other self defence sprays.
  • High-powered air rifles.
  • Martial Arts weapons such as death stars and sword sticks.
  • Knives that have a concealed blade.

You may bring component parts of firearms into the country, unless you have a licence for the weapon for which the parts are intended as components may be put to illegal uses.

All firearms must have a police shotgun licence or firearm certificate.

Please do not attempt to bring any of the above mentioned products to FIREX. Failure to heed this warning will result in immediate expulsion from the show and possible prosecution.


Am I entitled to a free entry in the official FIREX International Event Guide?

Yes, as an exhibitor at FIREX International, you are entitled to a free entry in the official Event Guide, distributed free of charge to all pre-registered visitors. Please make sure your profile is up to date on the Directory using the password sent to you via email.

How do I register for a press pass?

Registration for press passes is open. Simply follow this link to register. You will then be emailed your badge that you can print off.


What does my press pass entitle me to?

Your press pass entitles you to free entry to all co-located shows. You also have access to the FIREX VIP Lounge, where there is comfortable seating and charging points.


Can I bring members of the editorial team with me?

All members of the press are welcome to attend free of charge. If you wish to bring colleagues with you, please ensure they register on the website or on-site.


Will there be storage space for my luggage/laptop/equipment?

Cloakrooms are available to all visitors at ExCeL London. Please do not leave your equipment or baggage unattended at any time as Informa Markets cannot take responsibility for the security of these items. If you are bringing camera or filming equipment, please contact us in advance so we can arrange appropriate storage.


Will press packs be available?

Press packs will be available to download via a link distributed to all registered press. No hard copies of press packs will be available this year as part of FIREX International's commitment to sustainability.


Will there be internet access?

There will be free wireless internet access available throughout the event.


How do I retrieve official show photos?

The PR team will email a selection of photos to download to all registered press.

Can our publication bring own photographer to the show?

You are welcome to bring your own photographer to the event(s). Please register your photographer as press either on the website or on-site to ensure they are permitted to take photographs. If you have any questions email the FIREX International Marketing Team.


Will filming be permitted at the event?

Filming is permitted at the event. In order to do so, you will need to register your videographer and inform the FIREX International Marketing Team you are intending to film as we need to inform ExCeL London. Please also bring with you a risk assessment.


How will I get the latest new updates form the show?

All press releases sent by IFSEC and FIREX exhibitors will be published on IFSEC Global.


How do I find out what press events are happening at the show?

A schedule of press events relevant to FIREX International will be communicated in a dedicated press email in the run up to the show.


When will official figures be available?

Visitor and exhibitor figures will be included in the official post-show release. Contact the FIREX International Marketing Team to ensure you are on the distribution list.
